This a story about a wee man who wakes up one day to find a beautiful flowering plant in his garden. He picks a flower to put in his jacket buttonhole and finds that people who previously just passed him by, stopped and chatted and looked happy. At his work, which was normally a bit dull, everyone cheered up and became very friendly.
He saved the seeds and sent them to lots of people, hoping that it would spread some happiness in the world. It is well known that being in a garden raises peoples spirits and watching something grow from a seed is a bit of magic in itself.
